FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
.
WHAT WILL MY FIRST VISIT BE LIKE?
A comprehensive health history will be collected from you and your child. The history will include nutrition, lifestyle, illness, medications, supplements/vitamins, and previous treatments. A complete physical exam will also be performed.
Please note that the initial appointment is typically 90 minutes long, but families can opt for a 60-minute telehealth appointment combined with a 30-minute in-person appointment (for the physical exam and testing portion) if desired.
Your child can be as involved as they would like to be. During the visit, your child is welcome to play in the office during the interview – which provides a good opportunity to discretely observe their development, behaviors, and symptoms in a stress-free environment.

WHAT IS NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE ANYWAY?
Naturopathic medicine is both a science and an art. It embraces the power of natural processes that bring about or degrade our health and is based on seven guiding principles which distinguish NDs from other health care providers:
First Do No Harm – utilize the most natural, least invasive and least toxic treatments.
The Healing Power of Nature – trust in the body’s inherent wisdom to heal itself.
Identify and Treat the Causes – look beyond the symptoms to the underlying cause.
Doctor as Teacher – educate patients in the steps to achieving and maintaining health.
Treat the Whole Person – view the body as an integrated whole in all its physical and spiritual dimensions.
Prevention – focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.
.
Our mission is to combine all of the available resources to support your child’s health in a sustainable and achievable way.

Children’s Naturopathic Center of Colorado does not currently bill insurance for office visits. However, lab work can be submitted to insurance. We do accept payment in the form of health savings accounts, credit/debit cards, cash, and checks.
